The USDA recently announced an extension of a waiver allowing for the Seamless Summer Option (SSO) program to be extended through the 2020-2021 school year, or until funding allows.  This waiver will allow the Ray-Pec Child Nutrition Department to provide completely FREE breakfast and lunch meals to all children up to age 18 residing within the district.

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, Child Nutrition will transition to the SSO program and all breakfast and lunch meals served to students will be at no charge. This will continue through the end of the 2020-2021 school year (or as funding allows). The waiver does not affect the cost of meals served from Aug. 24 to Sept. 4, which were charged at the free, reduced, or full-price rate.

Families are still encouraged to complete the 2020-21 Free and Reduced Meal Application as this waiver is only granted through the end of the 2020-2021 school year, or until funding allows.  At the point meals return to their free, reduced or paid rate, we want your meal account status ready.  If there has been a change in your household income, you are highly encouraged to complete the Free & Reduced Meal application, which can be done online at: www.rpchildnutrition.org.

VIPR students and 6-12 grade at home learners can sign up for weekly meal packs – breakfast and lunch -  at www.rpchildnutrition.org.  The meals packs will require pickup on Friday.
